Indie films are flooding New York

While Hollywood is producing superhero blockbusters, young American filmmakers are lining up to create empathetic low-budget generational portraits. Most of the year, the directors struggle to find financing and audiences for the growing production of independent films. But last week, they played to full houses every day at the Tribeca Film Festival.
