Jeg hedder Freja Dam, og jeg er freelancekulturjournalist og film- og tv-anmelder. Jeg er uddannet journalist fra Columbia Journalism School i New York og cand.mag. i Filmvidenskab fra Københavns Universitet.

Jeg er fast anmelder for Jyllands-Posten og skriver/har skrevet for blandt andet Politiken, Information, Soundvenue, B.T. Metro, Det Danske Filminstitut, Costume, Nordic Women in Film, Dansk noter, IndieWire og Women and Hollywood. Jeg har tidligere arbejdet som kommunikationsmedarbejder på Det Danske Filminstitut. Ved siden af skribentarbejdet er jeg fagligt aktiv som bestyrelsesmedlem af FreelanceGruppen i Dansk Journalistforbund.

Jeg er optaget af film, serier, medier, kunst, popkultur og køn.

Freja Dam is a freelance journalist and film and TV critic from Copenhagen, Denmark.

She is a graduate of Columbia Journalism School, has a master’s degree in film studies from the University of Copenhagen and the University of California, Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in film and media studies from the University of Copenhagen. She has worked as a communications officer at the Danish Film Institute and freelanced for U.S. and Danish magazines, newspapers and online publications, writing about film, TV, culture and travel.
